How Counselling and Psychotherapy Works
Counselling is most effective when you and your Counsellor/ Therapist work together to address your issues and concerns in a secure confidential setting. Your counsellor/Therapist will listen carefully and try to understand you and your concerns with a view to helping you make sense of your difficulties. Counselling may involve:

- Developing new skills and finding what works for you
